CLAT 2020: Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the Undergraduate Programme (CLAT)

The terms and conditions that the applicant has to meet for appearing in CLAT 2020, depending on whether the applicant is looking for admission to UG or PG law course, are covered by CLAT 2020 eligibility criteria.

Suitability obligation for UG program:

Qualifying exam: The applicant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a documented university or board.

Marks in qualifying exam: A minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying degree is required to appear in CLAT 2020. SC and ST candidates need only 40% marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020

Others: Such candidates who are appearing in qualifying exam in March/April 2020 may also apply, subject to such candidates producing evidence of passing the qualifying exam at time of admission.

Eligibility requirement for PG program:

Qualifying exam: The applicant must have passed LLB or equivalent exam from a recognized university.

Marks in qualifying exam: A minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent is required for candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in minimum marks.

Age limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2020

Others: Candidates appearing in qualifying exam in April/May 2020 may also apply.
