NIFT: Complete Information
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is conducting a NIFT entrance exam to shortlist candidates for admission to the design programs it offers. Each year, more than 20,000 students appear for the NIFT exam.
NIFT is considered a leader of design education and has its headquarters in New Delhi and centres in Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kangra, Kannur, Patna, Shillong, Raebareli and Srinagar.
Notification for NIFT 2020
The official notification for NIFT 2020 was issued on 22 October 2019. The NIFT 2020 application form was launched by the National Institute of Fashion Technology on October 23 in online mode. Candidates can apply before 31 December 2019. They are able to download NIFT 2020 admit card in online mode on January 10.
The authorities will conduct the NIFT entrance exam in pen and paper-based mode on January 19, 2020. NIFT entrance test is a pathway to the admission to the B. Design (B. Des.) and Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.) Bachelor’s programs. The qualified students will be admitted to the 16 NIFT campuses in India.
Eligibility Criteria for NIFT 2020
Candidates wishing to appear for the NIFT entrance exam should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the NIFT exam. The eligibility criteria include age bar and educational qualification. Check the table for details of the eligibility criteria.

Admit Card for NIFT 2020
Candidates will access NIFT 2020 admit card on January 10. Take note that no hard copy of the admittance card will be sent. They will be required to carry the admission card to the exam centre, along with a valid ID proof. No applicant will be allowed to enter the examination hall without these documents.
Applicants need to download the NIFT Admission Card from the official website of the design entrance examination as specified by the NIFT authorities. Aspirants can access the NIFT Admit Card by providing details such as their six-digit identification number, date of birth and email.
Exam Pattern of NIFT 2020
NIFT entrance exam is three-tiered exam . Applicants must first appear for the Creative Ability Test (CAT) as part of the NIFT entrance exam 2020 for BDes and accompanied by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final round of admission to the BDes course is a situation test.On the other side, applicants for BFTech course admissions need to appear for GAT exam only
